Webcam Working
I've updated the Webcam drivers and removed the program from Microsof that was causing the problem. The webcam now seems to be working correctly again, with the latest drivers. So that should be sorted.
Loss of Some Services
Due to the storm (see item below) there was a loss of some services from the website.
The mains power went out at 2100 that evening and I kept the server running using a generator so that the live updates would continue through the storm. Unfortunately I had to turn the generator off at just after 1am and mains power wasn't restored until 4:30pm the following day.
One other effect of the storm was my broadband connection. As with most of the Island I suffered a reduction in broadband service on the night of the storm. This meant that I couldn't download the data the software needed to produce the forecasts or the pressure maps. This has now been sorted and we are back to normal.
A big "Thanks" to the Scottish Hydro and BT engineers who have been working to restore supplies.
On another equipment note: The webcam is playing up at the moment so is not live and the movies are not being made. I will get this sorted ASAP but it may be a week or so. Sorry about that.
